Tega & Tula BIO
Ethiopia
Caramel Dark berries Dried fig & whatever you taste
Background
Kaffa, a unique and special place, is considered by many to be the origin of Arabica coffee and is home to some of the oldest and most traditional coffee trees in the world. The word “coffee” itself comes from the name of this region. Arabica trees still grow wild there. Ethiopia is a unique country in this sense. Thousands of wild species grow here, many of which have not even been classified yet.
Sitting at high altitudes, the cool and misty forests of the Kaffa highlands are known for producing high-quality Arabica coffee that is world-renowned for its rich, complex flavor. Kaffa Farm is segmented into two organic and rainforest-certified farms: Tega and Tula.
“Limu” is the grade given to fully washed lots in this zone, and grade 1 is the highest quality you can source from the area.

How to brew
Our recommendation would be to use the V60 for our TEGA & TULA BIO.
The recipe we use is:
18 gr coffee – 300 ml – 96° C
4 pours (60 gr bloom for 45 seconds, then three 80 gr pours every 30 seconds)
Brew time: 3:30
If you prefer, you can instead use an AeroPress, a French press, or a filter coffee machine.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, or ask our barista in our CODOS cafés!
